All admission decisions are made on a case-by-case basis, based on criteria such as diagnosis, medical condition, rehabilitation goals, funding requirements and anticipated discharge disposition. We're here to help you navigate each patient's unique situation.
Craig Hospital accepts patients regardless of their geographic location. For those living more than 60 miles away from Denver, we provide family housing free for up to 30 days. Craig Hospital can also work with you to arrange transportation and logistics.
The criteria below outline our requirements for admission.
Craig Hospital treats patients with all levels of SCI, including patients on ventilators, traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), stroke, aneurysm, encephalopathy, anoxia/ hypoxia, infections, as well as dual diagnosis (spinal cord injury and brain injury) and neuromuscular disorders such as Transverse Myelitis, Guillain-Barre Syndrome or related neurologic conditions resulting in paralysis.
Craig Hospital does not discriminate admissions on the basis of gender, race, religion, national origin, or culture.
Craig Hospital's programs are designed for adult patients, 16 years of age or older, and only on very rare occasions are there exceptions for younger patients with Medical Director approval.
